October 2009 - "The Dive Shop" Pumpkin Carving Contest, Otter

Ted and I attended the
2009 pumpkin carving event that was held by The Dive Shop out of
Flint, MI. The event was held at Otter Lake. A good
number of divers showed up. Neither Ted or I took home
any prizes, but that was to be expected. :o) |

October 9th - 11th, 2009 -
GLWC Fall Meet and Greet. Gilboa, Ohio |
Every fall a group of
divers from ScubaBoard meet at Gilboa Quarry for some fun diving,
great food, and unbelievable campfire antics. The group is
call the "Great Lakes Wrecking Crew". |

September 6th, 2009 - Wexford Dive Charter |
This was a dive
charter that was organized by the Michigan Lake Divers Association
out of Port Huron, MI. We had beautiful weather for the dive
charter. We were able to do two dives on the Wexford and
then as an extra, we were able to dive the Charles Price on the
way back to Port Huron. |

September 5th, 2009 - Dive
Charter, Port Sanilac, MI |
Ted and I jumped on a
dive charter with Under The Sea Dive Shop. We dove the North
Star and the Regina wrecks. Visibility on the North Star was
not good. Visibility on the Regina was decent.
It was however, a spectacular day to be out on Lake Huron.
The lake was almost glass and it was sunny and warm out! |

June 2009 - Dive Charter, Port
Sanilac, MI |
A small group from the
GLWC (Great Lakes Wrecking Crew) chartered Bruno's dive boat "The
Great Lakes Diver" for a weekend of wreck diving off of Port
Sanilac. The group dove the following wrecks...

February 15th, 2009 - Ice Dive, Stony Lake, Oxford, MI |
A group of divers from
the Descenders Dive club did a dive at Stony Lake in Oxford, MI.
Visibility was very good at better than 50ft. |

January 10th, 2009 - Ice Dive,
Lake Orion, Lake Orion, MI |
This was one of the
certification dives for my Ice Diver certification. I was
amazed I was one of 2 drysuit divers. The other 6-8 divers
that were in the class all did it with wetsuits. Brrr! |
